Kelly Michelle's Diary Week 6, 2018

My Life Goal, ze Weight

Going back down again…hormones…you gotta love them!

Shake Your Booty

Yoga and I are the best of friends…just two days this week where I didn’t get a chance to get rid of some of the crazy out of the system…one due to a migraine and yesterday as I pretty darn tired and there is no point pushing a body when it’s close to exhaustion.

What I’ve Read

This week I’ve read Soulful Simplicity by Courtney Carver…this book has spoken to me on so many levels and I can’t recommend it highly enough…I don’t normally like self help books as I find them a bit to airy fairy for my liking (I get RSI from rolling my eyes a lot!) however this one is so different.  Courtney runs the very popular blog, www.bemorewithless.com and it’s all about her journey in living a more simple life after getting diagnosed with MS and how her life choices were affecting her health and her relationships…her journey started way back in 2010 so this isn’t a newbie blogger cashing in on the minimalism movement…Courtney has a lot of experience and observations from her life changes.

Last year taught me to look after myself due to a number of health issues; I live for myself and listen to my body a lot more, I say no a lot and the less choices you have to make on a daily basis the better…clear out that wardrobe!

What I’m Up Too…

This week was a bit of a crappy one…I felt rather down in the dumps (I don’t like saying depressed as I don’t have depression and it’s a word that is often misused)…it was just a bad week where I felt rather sad plus a migraine was thrown in for free.  I don’t suffer from migraines normally however my last two periods I’ve had a migraine and they knock me out for hours….where is mum when you need her to feed me coke, mince pies and moro bars when I’m having a migraine…only for me to puke them up hours later…mama is the best doctor around!

I actually hate going to work at the moment…to the point that I’m almost crying as I get ready for work…I don’t know if this is due to my hormones and then the cherry on the top is my confidence is taking a huge knock in the progress.  Hormones are shit!!  Maybe I am having my mid life crisis early.

We’ve booked afternoon tea in Istanbul for my birthday…my sister is shouting me afternoon tea which is super sweet of her (love you Lisa!)…and the best bit is the hotel which I can’t wait to visit…Lisa always has the best travel ideas.  I may actually use Instagram when I’m away…I’ve decided not to use Instagram to post unless I’m on holiday…I still have a little scroll through occasionally.

There wasn’t a blog post this week as I just couldn’t be bothered to log on to the laptop.

Anyway enough of my babbling, Happy Weekend everyone!  What’s all your gossip?

Sorry about the migraines! My daughter deals with debilitating headaches, too. Not quite migraines, but bad enough to put her out of commission. Anyway, I feel for you.

How do you find time to read a new book every week? I’m not just asking rhetorically…I really want to know. Do you read when you get home from work? Before bed?

Migraines and headaches are the pits…your poor little baby girl.
Reading wise – I start early at work so I can leave work anytime after 3pm so I’m normally home by 5pm, we have an early dinner and right after dinner I make sure I do 30 minutes of reading to relax, it’s how I now switch off…I also try and read on my lunch break just to get my eyes looking at something that isn’t a screen and I read after yoga as well in the evenings…I decided to just make the time this year and in doing so feel a lot more calmer.

Sounds like Istanbul is coming at the right time as a work escape. Do share pictures when you are away (just in the evening/morning), I love seeing the adventures!
