My Life Goal, ze Weight

Yay…come back down again…I love hormonal weight gains!

Shake Your Booty

I managed to do a few stints on my treadmill during the week when time allowed but am more determined to do more this coming week.

What I’m Up Too…

So I spent the week working…and had a really productive week which was awesome.  For the first time in what feels like years, I actually felt great for the whole week…I just felt so much like my old self from 10 years ago!

I’ve spent the whole weekend at home bar a trip to Waitrose to do the groceries this morning and now have two very full bins out the front (I’ve cleaned and just sorted a lot of things)…I even sorted out my paperwork…hence I had a real Enron afternoon shredding old paperwork.

I did find some time to read a few travel magazines and I spotted a book for Sara…Veggie Hotels…a book for vegetarian and vegan travellers…how cool right?  And they even have a great website.

We booked our tickets to New Zealand for Easter…Business Class on Qatar for £1300…a steal but we have to fly out of Stockholm which isn’t a problem so will pick up some cheap flights in the next British Airways sale.  We have quite long lay overs in Doha so think we may grab a hotel for a rest…any recommendations or places to spend the day in Doha…Banana Island Resort looked quite good and you can get a day pass so am currently pondering.

Anyway enough of my babbling; Happy Weekend folks!

Yay for Doha, I’ve been an expat here for over 3 years. Whilst it is a small village and nothing in comparison to the golden egg of the Middle East (Dubai), there is surprisingly quiet a few things to do during a lay over. I suggest you browser around Rachel’s blog for some ideas on what to do, where to stay and where to eat.

    My favourites are:
MIA (Museum of Islamic Arts) – Impressive architectural design by I. M. Pei
Souq Waqif – A bit of Arab culture
Spice Market (@ W Hotel) – Great food and service

PS- Banana Island Resort is really good, though you’ll be able to get day pass at other high end hotels too, especially fond of Marsa Malaz Kempinski and the Four Seasons

Caitlin thank you so much for all these tips; we have a stop over in both directions so it means we can try a few different things which is awesome. Dubai has never appealed but Doha looks great, can’t wait xx

Oh hurrah, you managed to get those cheap Qatar seats! I tried to find some also for Easter but to Sydney or Brisbane and I just couldn’t make the dates work with school holidays (grrrr). Annoyingly, found some at great € from Nice but only for 10 days and I’m not going that far for less than 2 weeks. Great to have a trip to NZ to look forward to!

I sure did Mrs D! We had to play around with dates as well to get the perfect fit. They normally do another big sale at Christmas am hoping to bag another flight to Asia to get to gold if I can xx
