Kelly Michelle’s Diary Week 35, 2016

Weight: Unknown…

“However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.” – Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

My Life Goal, ze Weight

I forgot to weigh myself this yesterday morning…at 5am it wasn’t really on my mind to jump on the scales, it was hard enough trying to remember all the power leads I needed to take away with me!  There is a set of scales in my hotel room however I’ve given them an evil glare.

Shake Your Booty

I started off with good intentions and managed to do some exercise early on in the week however budget submissions and other deadlines made everything go to pot but I will be walking loads while on holiday.

What I’m Up Too…

I’m in Washington DC visiting my family…who are still in New York but making their way down this morning!  Mum gave me the wrong day to arrive…but it’s worked out okay as yesterday was pretty much wasted due to sitting on the plane for 7 hours.

Kelly Michelle's Diary Week 35, 2016

I sat next to a “fashionista” yesterday on the plane who seriously froze to death, her leather jacket wasn’t keeping her warm and she had to take off her come f*** me heels to put on socks.  Seriously why don’t women just wear sensible clothes and shoes these days…why do we do this to ourselves?!?

My British Airways gluten free meal was boiled fish…urghhhhhh…they are seriously ruining fish for me!

Kelly Michelle's Diary Week 35, 2016

^^My clashing travel attire…which resembles pjs but oh so comfy…no jeans and a soft cup bra!

So I’ve finally managed how to work out to change the tv channels (it was stuck on the weather channel…there’s a big storm going on which explained all the turbulence!)…and I’ve also managed to turn off a million and one lights in my room at the Willard Intercontinental – this hotel is gorgeous and so iconic and I was told on instagram that the word lobbyist came from people waiting in the lobby at the Willard to speak to the president…I love hotels that have a history and just imagine the stories the walls could tell you as a number of presidents have stayed at this hotel before moving into the White House!

Anyway that’s me…so what’s all the gossip?

Have a great time in DC! You’re not far from GCDC, my favorite place to get grilled cheese sandwiches, cheesy tots, and other cheese-topped goodies. Just ask for them to be GF! And please eat an extra order of cheesy bacon tots for me :)

I hope you have a wonderful time in the States Kelly! I look forward to hearing all about it. I froze on a plane once but only because it was an emergency flight so I was a little upset anyway. I always dress comfortably!

I admire the dedication of those ‘fashionistas’ when going on flights. I’m all for looking decent when flying but I always wear pants that are loose (thank goodness pajama-like pants are in again) and definitely comfortable footwear.
    Have fun in the US!!
