My Life Goal, ze Weight

No change which is a good thing; especially as I’m craving sugar and salt by the bucketload.

Shake Your Booty

I managed to escape prison aka our house and went for a walk on Thursday and Friday without any adult supervision which was a fabulous feeling!  I did feel rather faint at times but I needed to go for a walk to get some fresh air and a bit of exercise….I just didn’t enjoy the pins and needles in my toes and fingers when I was walking…urgh!  At one point on Friday, I was overtaken by an old granny…I really wanted to cry.

What I’m Up Too…

G and I went into London yesterday for afternoon tea at Brown’s Hotel which was lovely…I will try and do a new review to show you all the yummy details but let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed with the food.  If you can’t wait then check out Mrs D’s recent review here.

We normally do a bit of shopping and go to The Connaught for a drink however on this occasion it was just a one stop affair – afternoon tea and then home again.

I decided that I needed to dye my eyebrows…not to be one of those trendy birds but just because I could see a few too many white hairs for my liking so decided to jazz things up slightly…I sent mum and dad a photo while I was waiting with the dye on…and I received a little snapshot back…

…I was in fits of giggles!  We are a completely normal family…now I just need to work on my mo!

So I have my operation on Tuesday (well fingers crossed…I still have a light period…blood = no operation!); I managed to have my pre-op blood test on Friday which was a right old ordeal…the first vein collapsed and the second time she had to jiggle the needle to get it into the vein…apparently I had to relax…there were tears, her colleague came in to see if she could help and well in the end G taped my mouth closed…I wish I was joking but I’m not…then G had to hold my hand as we walked back to the car as I thought I was about to faint.  They finally got the blood so that’s the main thing.  Feel sorry for the person who will be stabbing me on Tuesday…I think it’s fair to say my body and mind are a little bit over needles now.

If you are looking at doing a bit of online shopping this weekend and are in need of some more avios then I would highly recommend checking out the British Airways Gate 365 shop as there are some really good avios deals going on this bank holiday weekend i.e. ASOS 12 avios per £1 spent,  Selfridges up to 18 avios per £1, M&S 12 avios per £1 spent and Boden 9 avios per £1 spent…to name just a few.

Anyway enough of my babbling…I’m going to do a bit of colouring in, hopefully I can stay within the lines.

The eyebrow picture!!! That is too freaking funny – you must have one amazing family! :)

Ugh, I understand your pain regarding needles. I had to have 25 (yes, 25!) vials drawn a couple weeks ago. Needless to say, it did not go well as I was also dehydrated thanks to having to fast with no food or water for 12 hours before another procedure being performed the same day. They ended up bursting my vein (my best one in that arm!) and having to go into another vein to finish the draw. The bruising is like WWE quality. And now it’s going to be there for the rest of the summer, most likely. Big, big eye rolls.

Hope you’re surgery goes as scheduled on Tuesday. Crossing my fingers for you!

I do have an amazing family…they are possibly quite sick of me at the moment as I’m a right old bitch but we do have a lot of laughs.
25 is a lot of vials! My sister had a similar blood test a few weeks ago and they ended up going into both her arms and both her hands to get the necessary numbers of vials out for all the tests that they wanted to run and she’s like you…she bruises like a peach.
I can’t believe the vein burst…you poor thing Sarah, that is just so bloody awful. We should definitely hold a bruise party at the moment…I’m a proud owner of a number of them! xx

Very best of luck for the op tomorrow – fingers crossed it goes ahead as scheduled.

Interested to hear your thoughts at a later date on the Brown’s afternoon tea and if you were served the Tea-Tox cakes? (And thanks for the mention above).

    Take care of yourself. Xx
