My Life Goal, ze Weight

So I finally managed to weigh myself and I’ve lost 1.5 kgs…I’m pretty sure it’s not that far behind me trying to catch me up again…possibly as I’ve made gluten free scones today as felt like throwing a right ol’ pity party.  Will see what happens with my weight over the next few weeks.  I think this weight loss is more to do with stress and having the flu.

Shake Your Booty

Nada…nothing…didn’t exercise at all.  As I’ve said, I’ve got the flu or trying to recover from it…it’s taking awhile to get over it…so much so that scrolling through an excel spreadsheet currently makes me go to sleep.  I was told that I need to sit still and relax to get over the flu i.e. no exercise.  I’m also now on steroids to help my lungs…I’m hoping that I have one grand side effect…killer thighs so I can squeeze G to death when he’s snoring at night time but apparently the side effects are mood swings and feeling depressed…tick and tick…and I have to pop 8 pills a day for 5 days.

It really doesn’t pay to read about the side effects as they sound so scary…my antibiotics said you could start growing black hair on your tongue!!  Apparently that is in extreme cases but I can guarantee I will start coughing up fur balls shortly.

So I’ve digressed and lost the plot completely…oh yeah, we were talking about exercise…I haven’t done any exercise.  My plan is to go for a walk to nowhere on my treadmill on Monday…I won’t get as far as Timbuktu as it will only be a slow walk.  Just going to ease myself into it slowly.

What I’m Up Too…

I thought I would go for a lovely drive to Stoke on Trent today to visit the potteries but apparently sitting still means sitting still at home and G has basically grounded me…he’s probably right about not driving long distances when I fall asleep at a moments notice.  If anyone wants to go for a tiki tour to a new county please let me know!

Sooooooo I’m currently suffering from cabin fever BIG TIME.

On Monday, I’m heading into London with Rachel to visit a Free From Fair and then heading for afternoon tea at the Intercontinental Park Lane which should be fun.  It’s my first time heading into London since February and I’m really looking forward to having a girly day out with Rachel.

I was slightly optimistic that I could do 5 days of work this week…I lasted 3.5 days before calling it quits and going home to sleep.  Next week I’ve only got 3 days of work to contend with…I’m sure I can do it!

I promise not to sound so whiny next week and I promise to post a few other posts next week…they are ready to go but I’ve have lacked the energy and inclination of doing all the crap that goes along with posting a blog post.

**Edited** I just wanted to say a big thank you for all kind words over the past few weeks…they have really meant a lot!

So what’s all the gossip?

xx

Can’t wait for our day of fun tomorrow! I’m also suffering from cabin fever having worked from home almost all last week, so I’m so excited to get out of the house…! And don’t worry about whining. And you’re not actually whining anyway, sometimes life is just a bit crap and it’s refreshing to hear someone be real about things rather than glossing over everything with rainbows and puppies. Catch you bright and early :)

No gossip – I have a Financial Reporting exam in one week and I’m a weepy, irritable mess.
