My Life Goal, ze Weight
Next…there isn’t a set of scales in the hotel room so I can’t check my weight which I think is a HUGE blessing!
Shake Your Booty
I managed a few strolls on the treadmill earlier on this week which was all good…I feel so much better for doing a spot of exercise after a day at work. And since we are walking almost everywhere in Moscow this weekend, we’ve done quite a few steps…G hates walking so you can imagine how pleasant he is today on our second full day in Moscow..with a dodgy knee on the mean streets of Moscow (my legs are killing me so I can only guess how G’s knee currently feels!).
What I’m Up Too..
Yes so we arrived into Moscow on Friday afternoon and oh my goodness, the traffic…it only took us 2.5 hours to get from the airport to the hotel! Needless to say, the crankiest person in Moscow was me on Friday afternoon and then the Intercontinental decided to remove my Club Lounge access that I’d paid for which offers breakfast, dinner and light snacks and gave us a suite instead with no Lounge access without asking what I would prefer…I tossed my cookies big time…mainly as I was going to rely heavily on the hotel for gluten free food…in the end they gave us lounge access and the suite…G had to sort it as I had to stand outside to cool down as I was having a hot flush and a panic attack over food (don’t laugh as finding gluten free food in Moscow isn’t easy and with the language barrier it just adds a new dimension to finding food).
Other than that (I’ve built a big bridge and moved on!), I’m absolutely loving Moscow…can’t get over how amazing the city is and I suppose I can see why it’s a marmite destination as it can be a culture shock to some people (my first time in Russia in 2003 most certainly was) however the changes are startling from my last visit to this one and I’m so glad that I’ve ticked off Red Square! I’m plotting my next Russian adventure for some point in the future.
Last night, G decided he wanted to go shooting…honestly it was like we were starring in a dodgy horror movie as we got dropped off at derelict building, then had to go underground…then a few guys turned up with a large gun looking like they were from the mafia…G and I are still laughing about it all now.

Anyway enough of my babbling…time for some sleep.
